Back in the saddle!! Yesterday had Rainydaze Guide Service saddling up the big WX2100 in starting the 2012 open water guide season. We started our search for monster Pike which of course are open all season long.

We found water temperatures a bit cool for my liking. Faced with a stiff East wind we found many bays in the low to mid 40’s. The warmest water we encountered touched 50 degrees. Big pike were scattered with better numbers of 5-6 lb fish and a pile of little guys.

We threw Max Raps yesterday!! Back at it today exploring new water with HOPEFULLY big fish!!

Good to see you finally got your fill of hunting for sheds and now find yourself back on the water. Keep us posted. I have the pike rods and tackle sorted and piled in the garage in the “go” position!

Can’t wait to see what kind of report you guys can put together on rainey again this year!! Man, I knew this was a trophy fishery but no idea it was this good. Keep the exciting photos and fish tales coming Chris….I can speak for all and say we enjoy the updates
