If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years it is that weather remains quite unpredictable. Though we’ve experienced an obvious mild winter “Mother Nature” seems to have finally made her entrance to “Borderland”. Just like the good ole days where the snow doesn’t melt off the blade of my atv and my Otter houses are getting snowed on in the back of my truck. My Snosuit once again is right at home as ice anglers regain that swagger while trudging hole to hole. Recent fishing trips reminded me how exhausting it is to work crappies in heavy snow. Anglers can be sure that with the new blankets of snow protecting the ice that this season is FAR from over baby. My daughter sighed this afternoon as she read the forecast off her smart phone “6 out of the next 7 days are calling for MORE snow…..DAD”…….Followed by “YOUR CRAZY YOU KNOW”. YEAH BABY!! You want a little of this!!

FINALLY bring the winter back to “Manland”!! Plowing snow and filling the boiler are once again in the daily routine of the man on hill.

Chris, I’m starting to think your almost half as crazy as I am. In 15 hours I’m flying to Denver, then driving to some high elevation lakes for Lakers. I was told in some areas I can expect to shovel up to 10′ of snow to find the ice…..It will be interesting

    Randy,

IF you have the energy, pictures of that would truly be priceless. Good Luck and I hope you have been training.
