Flagging in below zero heel clicking winds!

It is no secret we like to soak big baits in our search for the elite caliber fish that call Rainy Lake home. Sometimes “Mother Nature” likes to stack the deck against our chosen presentations for the day. Pictured here is our Otter Rod Case getting double duty as it blocks a “Click your ruby slippers together” fierce 25-30 mph wind in below zero weather. The Frabill insulated tip-up effectively seals the hole while the Otter rod case not only protects our fishing rods, but shields the insulated tip up from becoming LOST IN ACTION!!

Bulldozer, wind block, rod protection, flasher elevator/coffee table, Id say ours pulls way more than double duty!

LOL!! Hey Ben!! I totally forgot when you and I banked our houses in with th rod case.

Your completely right. The Rod case protecting rods is nearly secondary to the true call of duty.

Here is what I use it for.

    1. YES PROTECT EXPENSIVE RODS.

    2. Bank houses when I forget shovel.

    3. flat and dry work station.

    4. Wind block for flags.

    5. elevated platform for my LX7. I’m kind of overprotective with ole “Luck 7”

I’m sure there are more……Just wait til next trip!!

Ben we need to talk dates for next season.

Im still waiting on the last minute “mid week minuteman” call about an opening in hand to hand gator only combat this spring! But to say the ice may leave earlier than normal may be calling the kettle black! Is it opener yet???

LOL!! A man after my own heart. As a kid a Pike was……Not really the target species. They received comments like…….Ugggh……….SNAKE!! DANG PIKE ARE EVERYWHERE.

As a grown man BIG PIKE are just darn fun to target. I admit seeking the biggest and baddest pike of Rainy Lake gets me a tad excited!!
