We’ve fielded some questions over the last week coming from summer anglers. When is it too early to book trips or book lodging at a local resort or houseboat? That’s tough to answer based on your particular schedule. What I will say is it is too late when your groups coveted dates are filled by Rainy Lake Houseboats or a couple of our nicer resorts. The same can be said with some of the fishing guides. Though we’re in the first days of January I know my particular schedule for May-August is usually mostly filled in come March. If anyone has any questions with any of our local resorts or inquiries about Rainy Lake houseboats give me a call. Corporate outings should be planned as far in advance as possible to lock up the best fishing guides. Everything tends to book fast. I love winter on Rainy Lake, but many will argue Summer is simply breathtaking up here. This mass of water dotted with Pine studded islands held within the confines of Voyageurs National Park may be one of the most beautiful places in the world that you can still take your 300hp motor!! 
Rumor has it the FISHING isn’t to shabby either!!
