As I find myself pondering “first ice” I like others highly anticipate the first puck drop on Marcum’s all new LX-7. I need to calm my nerves as we sit in the first days of October. Still advancements within the fishing industry from a fishing guides perspective allow me advantages whether on the ice or fishing open water. I rarely discount things that make my job more efficient……OK NEVER!! I always look for an edge I feel will help myself and customers trigger more fish into biting. Thus when Marcum announced the LX-7 my friends and I were very excited. Here is what we have felt from a simply practical sense. A larger and brighter flat LCD screen even if everything else had stayed the same would be a huge plus. I look at the advancement into LCD with Marcums industry leading power output kind of like going HD from your old television. Still The same things I love about my beloved LX-5 (OLD TV) will now be further enhanced benefits within the this all new LX-7, but possibly even greater?? REALLY?? How so?? Correct me if I’m wrong “Tech Boys”. My thinking is a LCD screens will allow further detail to be displayed within the “Circle of Trust” and actually will further utilize Marcum’s undisputed ridiculous power output. This should in my mind further inrease the precision of the entire unit from targets to target seperation. Precision and speed in my mind are the nuts and bolts that drive the flasher biz. Breaking it down simply fisherman demand to clearly see what is beneath them and in “Real Time” (At least our customers do). Beyond that the big screen, multiple view displays, a full scale water column on the main dial, brightness and flat LCD is simply Showing off to your friends. Seems to me from going LX-3 to LX-5 this is more like going to an LX-12!!

Seeing Red?? You should be it has been made much easier for you!!
