Never thought I’d say it…….But where did the years go!!I know their are many parents pondering the same question’s right about now as kids across the state head to school. The endless “hustle and bustle” of today’s competitive world has us all spinnning in circles at times.

Our families pride and joy enters her Sophmore year here at Falls H.S. this morning, and frankly we couldn’t be more proud of who she has become. As the dad of a Teenage daughter; Work, endless worrying, hair graying experience??…..UNDERSTATEMENT OF A LIFETIME!! Still absolutely PRICELESS!! Last night I met Lindsey’s “Boy….Friend’s” parents coming off the docks at Sha-Sha resort after a guide run (Yes I realize NOT a boyfriend……But Boy/Friend. Lindsey’s first car is in transport to Ifalls in the next couple weeks. I need to go to the bank to deposit her paycheck into her checking account. I’ll be hollering in the bleachers during her Vball game tonight ( I’ve been assured She “KNOWS” to be competitive at the NET!! ). Time simply burns by fellas!! Let us all be aware of our economy, but never let “Worldly Woes” run our lives. On the contrary let our life RUN THE WORLD!! Don’t leave those kids home on fishing trips or simplistic stomps in the woods. For time spent with our little “Chillins” continues to be the best investment a parent can ever make. Don’t need to time the market, yet just like the popular investment strategist urge; Consistent timely contributions baby!! Live life to the fullest every single day; You’ll never regret it, Win/Lose or Draw.

BTW these ARE tomorrow’s “Good Ole Days” Enjoy them.

Great read as usual Chris. My twin daughters enter 2nd grade today and I already can’t wait to pick them up to hear what they learned and how their 1st day was…

It sure was great to get the kids out fishing yesterday with my wife and dad making more memories for Maura’s BIG scrapbook. On to Fall soccer for the Studer twins with I’m sure a few more trips on the water before ice up.

PS For those in the metro area Spring lake is on fire for decent pannies (NOT Rainy Lake size ) . Gramps kept his 10 crappies and we kept 7 for a meal. We must have caught over 100!

Great Reminder Chris – my youngest is now 26 and you still can’t believe how fast the time goes. She gave me my first grand kid almost a year ago and it just seems like the time keeps flying. Took the grand daughter out for her first boat ride yesterday. You can’t read, but on the hat it says “My FIRST Fishing Hat” as we all know there will be plenty more. Hold em and hung em while you can.

Sounds like a formula for a happy life to me!! Sleep less and fish more and hug your loved ones!! Each May/June and December/January I run a crazy guide schedule often working 30 days in a row. Each morning I’ll admit I become a bit bit more exhausted to the point I almost start to feel like a walking zombie. Still when I get on the water or the ice I’ve never lost the fire to have customers land that monster!! I hope that feeling never goes away. I was told I’d lose the edge after running a grueling guide schedule a few years ago; I’m happy to report……..Not yet!!
