Were currently experiencing 35-40 mph winds on Rainy lake. She’s pretty scary!!! Campers absolutely NEED to stay put on shore and ride this baby out. Deadlines or departing dates mean nothing when it comes to dangerous lake travel like we are currently experiencing. Last year almost the same time we had boats capsizing coming out of the Brule narrows. We do NOT need a repeat of that this year. STAY PUT and deal the cards.

No sir!! We’re on shore dealing with “Friendly neighbors” Still when white caps roll through our little sheltered bay you better strap your hats on. Main lake “Gonna be a bit choppy!!”

Aw come on! Put the Queen in the passenger seat with a camera, turn those 300 ponies loose and ride the crest. We need pictures.

BTW, I’m safely on shore down here on the Ash River begging for pictures

Todays menu for you should be. Planning your revenge, drinking a cold beverage while watching the waves from your deck. There is sure to be some fool in a 14′ boat with a 15hp go by soon.

Last year we hit LOTW when the winds came Playing cards with a cold one to past the time only lasted so long. We head out on the Rainy for a bit but gave that up. There were 4 footers inside the gap and 7 footers outside Hope it’s not that way this weekend, hate to give the lund a bath on the inside Might be having a few sociables at the Wigwam if it’s to bad. Would rather be save than sorry

LOL!! I do beieve the Skeeter was a bit frustrated it didn’t get a crack at the main basin today. I guess it’s Captain raised the white flag to the ugly side of “Mother Nature”

Hey Chris I will get ahold of you one of these days about next summers trip. We are going to leech fishing this weekend and we will be looking at houses in the Bemidji area! We are getting within weeks of moving up north! Yah and I will not miss Rochester at all. So now I will have hundreds of lakes close to home
