Three of us are going to try Rainy next Wed – Fri. Then we’ll do Gull Rock in Canada for a week before giving Rainy another try for four days on the way home. Any advice on boat ramps/areas to fish/ bait to bring would be appreciated.
Lots of boat ramps to choose from; Bowmans landing, Tilson Landing, Voyageurs national Park landing, Dove Island landing.
We’ve been using fatheads, shiners and nightcrawlers all with great success.
We’ve been finding our active fish in 15-28 f.o.w over the last few days.
Today we boated 50+ walleyes. Beautiful 16 fish limit between 15 and 16 3/4 inches and FAT! Still the bulk of our fish were over 20 inches and protected with our slot restrictions.
