Congratulations to John Brugler (IDO’S Love2Fish) on the great batch of fish caught on our Rainy Lake Firecracker Hot Walleye trip!!

Even here in “Borderland” it gets hot…….I guess!! Lord knows my body isn’t built for anything over……..65. The boys were troopers though enduring 90+ temps, ridiculous humidit levels, and flat out zero wind. Simply “MELTING HOT” in my book. Still we put the heat to a beautiful batch of slot fish and a nice limit of eater walleyes for the pan!!

As always another blast fishing with the whole crew!! You guys truly are a riot. Til Next time!!

Over the 2 day trip we caught around 90 walleyes of which around 40 were over the 20 inch mark!! We still worked for the fish here on the tail end of the hatch, but considering the conditions……Lots of bend in the rods!!

(I’ll be doing a full write up on a new fishing report on tips and techniques we’ve employed recently in our success!! Might be suprising where we’re finding our best bite.)

Thanks everyone. It was a great trip and I can look forward to our winter trip with Chris as well as another July trip next year.

For anyone here who has never met Chris Granrud and had the chance to fish with him, I would highly reccomend you do so. Even with the tough conditions he worked tirelessly to find us fish and get us on a good bite. By the way a ride in his boat is well worth the price of addmission.

Thanks again Chris and I will see you soon. How did the Lazagna eat up for you and your family?

    John

Thanks for the kind words John!!! That Lasagna was awesome!! As our July 2012 is about 1/2 full we’ll have to lock some dates in for your crew shortly!!

Can’t wait for this winter Big slab trip!! I’m going to be giving that LX-7 a serious workout!!
