Congratulations to Rob, Michael, Randy and Josh for adjusting presentations going “Low and Slow” while pulling a pile of big Rainy Lake walleyes during an extended fly hatch. Though we did catch a pretty big load of big slot fish we also were fortunate enough to lace up a beautiful limit of 15-16 inch fish. Often times those fish are the toughest to come by.

We fished purple and white H20 Precision jigs with a small fathead. For some reason Purple at times will outproduce everything for us. Low and slow!!

Results will speak for themselves. We were literally on hoards of big fish picking off a few of the big ones that are just now getting over the “Mayfly Bonanza!!”

Great job team on all the awesome fish!! Look forward to this winter and then next summer!!

    Chris,
Thanks for the great trip and the hard work you put in battling the mayfly hatch. Those 15-16 “food!” tasted so great!

It resembles smelt. They are purple, blue and pink on the sides. All good colors IMO.
