Congratulations to Reggie while on a trip with his family for landing our 50th Pike surpassing the 10lb mark since May 1st!! Reggie posted his PB pike of 38 inches. We also landed another 35 and 37.5. We didn’t quite reach his PB walleye of 25.5 inches, but came close as he boated nice 24 inch fish.
Our fishing was pretty darn good landing a nice mixed bag of big pike and big walleyes. We landed around 40 walleyes with nice net full of walleyes and pike for a “Hot Oil Bath”. Our keeper walleyes were perfectly fat 15.5-16.75 inch fish!! Still most of our walleyes again were in the 19-23 inch class. The biggest walleye of the Martins family fishing trip was 26 inches caught by Tony!!
Thanks to Tony, Reggie, Jenny and Shelly for a wonderful time!! Great family of fish pullers right there!!!
We continue to reef on those fish holding in transitional areas. Frankly……On a nice milk run right now!! Our waters continue to be slow to warm with a steady surface temperature, and frankly we’re ok with that. Heck this isn’t a water skiing lake anyway!!
