Well Boys once again our Humminbird 1198C has been worth it’s weight in gold. As our water has been slow to warm through May many anglers have struggled to uncover the Cabbage lines or newly emerging bull rush lines that tend to hold GIANT early season Walleyes on Rainy lake. Frankly I hope this vegetation stays right where it is as 99% of anglers won’t locate this treasure chest full of big fish until you can see it with the naked eye.
Yesterday again we located a small stretch of newly forming cabbage and cracked some big walleyes on the edges. Our biggest walleye was this fat “Super Sized” Rainy Lake special!! 28 inches of fun right there!!
We were faces with less than desirable fishing conditions as 30mph winds had us fishing in “Click Your heels together” conditions. Special thanks to Frabill for designing yet another suit for “MANLAND” the all new Frabill “Stormsuit” laughs in the face of “Mother Natures” angry days. I kid you not this suit has it all and is the ultimate suit similiar to the Snosuit for winter. This Jacket and bibs allows the hardcore fisherman to fish in all conditions completely dry and comfortable. I think I’ve lived in my suite this entire spring so far!!
Our biggest fish of the day was a 28 inch walleye, 20 inch Smallmouth and a 36 inch Pike.
I promise an up to date fishing report SOOOOOOOON!! Burning the candle at both ends as of late. I KNOW……..”Tough life DAZE!!” LOL!!
