After our friends John, Nate, Dave and Gene left on their annual fishing trip with us over Memorial Weekend frankly none of us wanted it to end. We fished our brains out and had such a great time over at Sha-Sha resort in the evenings where we solved many of the worlds problems over their Infamous Rainy Lake “Teas”. Fishing again was tremendous for big fish and eaters. We limited out with 15-16 3/4 inch walleyes. The Pike, Walleyes, Smallmouth and Crappies were all going well. I have to admit men there are few things in a guides business that are as rewarding as happy customers catching tanks each year and having such a great time. You guys just always seem to get it done year in and year out!! Can’t wait for next year gentleman and hope we can make this a Spring/Winter expedition this year.

Next years already sneaking up on us men…….”Saddle Up”

During this trip we focused our attention on that tricky middle ground between spawning areas and the first line breaks. Emerging weedlines are now holding tremndous loads of bait fish and trust me the Big fish have heard the news!!

Looks like a great weekend for all with you Chris.

Myself and my nephew also had a very good 4.5 days on Rainy.

No hurry. I’ve just about got all your hook points filed down and all your cranks detuned.

The fish we located would still be caught with dull hooks as they were hitting our cranks that hard. Many of the eyes about inhaled the cranks.

No worries Chris, somewhat dull hooks will work.

Chris, Just want to thank you again for the great trip. Couldn’t have asked for a better time and great fishing. From the antics of our dads, to the fish we missed only to wonder about, it’s truly a trip I can’t wait for again next year. Maybe we will be lucky enough to find out what a few of those tankers we missed were. I would like to see you do another net reversal when a big walleye shakes the hook right at boat side, may be hard to out do that one! And yes, the Sha Sha Resort better be prepared next year when we show up again, what a great spot just down the road. Don’t worry I won’t post any of those pics, ha.

If any of you fellow fishermen haven’t been on a trip with Rainy Daze, I strongly suggest you make one of the better fishing investments you could and book one. You won’t regret the knowledge you’ll soak up, and the fish you will catch. We have had a blast three years in a row now, and I guarantee next years weekend is already booked. Hopefully I can squeeze in one or two more weeks into the schedule before that! Thanks again for the hospitality and great one liners buddy! Until next time, may the holes in your net be no larger than the fish you bring into it! Tight lines!
