It’s easy to get down on $4.00 gas or inclimate weather. I have one fix that always works for me when I might feel a bit perplexed with the world……Thats a SPLASH in the Face from a TANK FISH!! Well I dropped the Dock project that has consumed me as of late, and bowed out of some other obligations to pre-fish for some upcoming guide trips. Lets just say the Big fish were VERY cooperative. Although I was targeting Pike as they are open all year on Rainy Lake those Pesky Walleyes were also on the Chew!! Everything immediately released with actually nothing even leaving the water as I released the fish without lifting them today. Biggest pike was right in that 10lb class and biggest walleye was somewhere in that 25-26 inches. The Big pike are going to get “WHITE HOT” here with the upcoming weather! Conditions look PRIME!! BTW The biggest pike gave me a bath after I slipped that treble out of her mouth…….Felt GREAT!!
