I gave White’s Landing a try this morning for Perch, but did not come home with a fish dinner. There is about 9″- 10″ of ice on that section of the bay, but the water is very churned up, only about 6″ of visibility. I fished the edge of the second spring, where the water drops from 6 feet to about 20 feet for about 3 hours. I did not even get a bite. There were about 20 Perch caught between the 15 or so shanties that were out there. Most of the fish were taken on black Pin Mins tipped with maggots fished about 6″ off of the bottom. I don’t think the guys at the first spring were doing any better either. The fishing should improve as the water clears.
