Yes, but we didn’t do to well. We have another one coming up the first weekend in June. Hopefully we will get another top two finish!

Right now my partner and I have:

    2nd place at Catawba

    1st place at Mosqutio Lake

6th or 7th at the Huron event

We are off to a pretty good start this season, hopefully we will be able to keep it going. Its pretty tough, there are a lot of good fisherman here in Ohio.

You guys are doing real well. Awesome!!

What other types of bite are you guys experiencing on the other waters? Trolling, jigging, rigging, etc….?

    Good Luck.

    Thanks!!

The weather here has been absolutly terrible the past few weeks. Alot of heavy winds and unstable temperatures. It has really affected the bite here on Erie. A few fish are being caught but the majority of people are pulling one or two a trip. Even the charters are having a tough time, 4-6 fish a trip with 12-16 lines in the water!!

When we fished the tournament out of Huron, we trolled cranks and harnesses and only pulled a few fish. We marked a TON of fish N/NW of Kelleys Island. When the weather stabilizes here they should turn on.. I can’t wait!!!!

Mosquito Lake is one of those inland lakes where everything catches fish. We did a little trolling there with leadcore and cranks but ended up switching to lindy rigged crawlers and jigs with crawlers or minnows. We caught over 50 fish a day but had to pick through the dinks to put a basket together.
