Anyone know what the conditions are up there right now? I know last weekend was slushy, anyone driving on thelakes right now? Are there plowed roads without slush?

since friday night of last weekend the slush has started to freeze over. saturday morning i was driving to and from my fishouse in 2-wheel drive. each lake has its own personality but i’d bet you could go where-ever somehere in ottertail county. i have not been in the ottertail lake area but fergus falls area lakes are dry and hard. the exception may be swan.

I don’t travel on plowed roads, so I can’t help you. I assume if water was on a plowed road it’s healed up. We had some cold this week that should freeze up areas without snowcover. Cross country travel via truck doesn’t work here, too much snow and hard packed snow at that.
