Quick fishing report from one of the local guides that works out of the resort….
Otter Tail report 6/23/10
Ottertail remains to have a good bite. The transition from shallow to deeper fish has begun. We are finding more fish along the breaks and humps than last week. Mayflies have also begun showing lots of bugs coming up off the bottom. Which means its going to start a better crawler bite than minnows? Mid lake humps are producing some fish, these fish seem to be a little smaller, but they are really schooling up on just about every hump. Humps that top out at around 20 ft seem to be the best. Also the cleaner or gravel humps are holding more fish. If you can find saddles that connect two humps together are also holding fish and seem to be bigger fish. Look for Ottertail to continue a good bite thru the 4th of July. Looks like great weather ahead!
