Got up to the cabin early Friday morning. Plan was to bust the opening the cabin chores up as fast as possible.

Got Big John running, took the snowblower off lil john, put the mower deck on it. Got grandpas boat pulled out, ran it, fueled it, and got it ready for when he comes up. Put the dock, boat lift in, than put the boat in.

Got out late in the evening and fished for a few hours, started working shallow 4 ft depth stuff and was only finding rock bass and perch. Packed up and slid out a bit deeper and hit a crappie. Slid out a bit further and started finding them more out in the 10-12 foot range stuff.

Also found a fair amount of rough fish. We stuck a good dozen largies this size, pretty average fish than hit a big one which after talking to MJ I should have probably taken a few pictures of that one…Oh well.

Saturday found us with front after front after front, big winds, and lots of rain. So just hung out around the cabin, cleared some shooting lanes for deer hunting, speared some suckers and that was about it.

Working Fatboys with a jumbo wedgee or baby shad was the ticket. Working them with a 9 ft Black Rock rod, shimano saharas and 4 pount Courtland and 4 Transoptic. Really like both of them lines. They held up extremely well on the brush piles, rushes and docks that we were working.

Came home early sunday morning and hit a local lake with the waders again and had some fun!

    Enjoy the pictures!
