Otter Tail Report

Quick report then back to the grind…. Darn good fishing over the weekend. 1/8oz jig and a spot tail shiner is all that is needed. Vertical and rip-jigging were both effective. Most fish were caught in 10-14 fow, and the majority were 17-19″. A few low 20″ fish were also caught, biggest here at the resort was 23″.

This was by far the best opener in years…. limits of fish were very common and nobody left without fish to take home. Water temp is 57. I’ll post some pics later.

I’ve never fished Ottertail before. How long does the shallow jig bite usually last?
