    I talked to Buddy Hillman and he reports that the fishing has been very good for Walleye and the bigger Pike are starting to show. The Pike are hitting Walleye rigs inside the house more than tip ups with bigger baits. He said that last night the fishing was slow but that it should kick back into gear as the warmer temps head our way. Buddy said it was -38 this morning and he described it as ” chilly “. If you know Buddy and he says its ” chilly ” you can bet it is real cold ! Hillman’s road is in ofcourse real good shape. You can go straight out 9 miles or take the turn off at 6 miles that will bring you to the NW where the Crappie Hiway was last year. He said fishing was equally good from 4 1/2 all the way out to 9 miles.
    Good Luck to all the brave souls that venture out and be safe!

    talked with C-C Couple last night
    there out of Westwind in 10 ft and were fishing at 2 pm and had only 1 keeper eye as of 6 pm

    10 ft would put the out about 3-4 miles
    Brice, Goose and Hunter are all going out of Hillmans away from the crowds

    its 17 dregrees’s here in Avon right now and we will be heading to out to try our little lake by this afternoon;
    and good luck
    thanks for the update Ninetoes
