Just got back, the first night we were 4 miles out of the south end and had a blast with the walleyes, next night on the same spot 1 fish. So I do not think it matters where you are if you are not catching fish move. The snow is deep the banks of the plowed roads are 3-4 feet high. The resort we used plowed some areas out just for people like me to use our own houses well worth the $8 to get on. Best times for us was 1-5 pm do not drill on clear ice or you will have 4 inches of water around you. we had to move on top of the snow to fish.
