Buddy Hillman reports 18 inches of ice off the road. He said you can still get around pretty good off the road, stay away from the drifts though.

The walleye fishing has been good, however, last weekend was a day bite instead of an evening one. It very well could be from the snow cover. He reports that he saw 3 fishermen in one house who had iced 10 Crappies durring the day. His suggestion is 3 to 5 miles out.

    Good luck!

Ninetoes- its going to be the usuall long ice year;; can we expect to find you on fish;; parked about 3am just around the corner in a snow drift 5 ft high–ive seen you do it before– dam impressive i have to say

lost, stuck, no one around, get the auger out, drill and fish till someone finds you the next morning stil standing up , fish in the bucket, rod in your hand and sleeping–

we had way to much time on our hands those days when we were out at 2:30 in the morning with catch and release from 5 pm till 2;30 am– no wonder we got lost and flew acrost 30 ft of open water on atv’s to shore–
    thanks for the report

Yes Sir ! Those were the days. The Crappie meeting at noon in the cabin and a few dead soldiers later and the fun had begun!
I cant even get stuck in the snow anymore ! Maybe thats the key!
