we went out with our 8×18\’s only when there was 16+ inches of ice- January 2 was the earliest and it was scarry!!!! with v-plow and f250 in front- i aint crappen you;; we kept the doors ajar, life jackets on one arm and we made customers that were pre warned to park 100 ft from the houses
—- there only out about a mile now and just thinking- (i repeat) -thinking of letting small- (repeat) -small trucks out this weekend so far-
everyones just testing the ice yet and there are slush spots but once traveled on there froze the next day if plowed
just some advice
we went out on 13 inches of well frozen ice (no snow) 3 miles out Jan 4th 1 year- next morning we had to move the houses back in
theres nothing worse than that sick feeling in your guts when you feel your truck starting to slow up and pull harder than it was just doing–Then Look In The Mirror\’s To See Water Flowing in Above the Tire RIMS on The HOUSE-
IV BEEN THERE AND IT WASNT FUNNY- Cause all you could do is punch it and pray for the best with the door open–the ice all looks the same and you cant go back
we drilled holes every 30 ft to get back to 5 ft of water
usually the front end of the truck breaks the ice and the rear end falls through first -just my thoughts
