First trip to URL

I’m thinking about taking my fiancé up camping the weekend of June 2nd. I’m just looking for some info if people expect the fishing to still be hot then. We would be looking for walleyes and maybe crappies.

My guess would be that with a lake like Red, with the shear multitudes of walleyes in it, it would be pretty hard not to have good walleye fishing in early june. It might not be as fast as at was earlier, but i can almost guarantee you it will be by far way better than a great day on any other lake u can think of, besides maybe Mille Lacs or LOTW.

Thanks for the info. I’ve just been debating if I want to spend $300+ and drive 6 hours to only catch a couple walleyes, especially when the week after I will be going to Canada and get to drive another 9 hours. I know nobody can guarantee that the fishing will be good. But if the odds are in my favor, well then it is worth the trip!
