Fished URL Saturday from about 7a.m. until 2:30. Landed a dozen beautiful walleyes, missed a few, and lost a few at the hole. Never saw a crappie on the camera. Jigging raps were the go to bait, tried dead sticking, glo devils, but the fish preferred my jigging rap best. Only moved once due to the darn wind and cold. Was a great day none the less! We did have an extension on the auger and didn’t have much auger left when you popped thru.

    Jack,

I was up there last thursday night – sunday morning.

It was cold and windy. So we didn’t venture out of the permanent more than we had to.

The majority of our crappies were caught between 7 – 8 am with a red go devil 1/8 ounce jigging spoon tipped with a crappie minnow head.

We did pick up a couple around 8:30 pm also, on the red glow demon jig with a full minnow.

The walleyes were plentiful! We didn’t get any big fish, but we didn’t have any problem catching slot eater fish. Our biggest was 18 1/2 inch that was caught on a dead stick. Over the weekend we caught between 40 – 50 walleyes, no pike on the tip ups.

We were about 6 miles out on aggisez road.

We had intended to pull the portables out during the day for a search mission, but the cold and wind shut that effort down pretty quickly.

Reminder to be careful while driving out there, we saw one truck go through an ice heave about 50yrds from our shack. Everyone was fine, just minor cosmetic damage to the truck.

Went up Saturday & Sunday. No crappies, but had a blast catching around 50 walleyes for 3 of us.

Friday we kept 6 limits of walleyes and one lonely crappie. We caught plenty of eyes between 17-20, action was steady all day. Saturday was slower, 4 limits of eyes, with 3 crappies. Sunday morning 2 of us got into some crappies, 9 crappies and 2 limits of eyes in 3 hours. We also missed plenty of bites, which I’m blaming on the yager consumed the night before.
