Having a great time up here with eyes being caught up to 23″, gaters from 20-37″.
Some perch caught in the 8″ range, heard of some crappies caught but not in big amounts.
Tuesday a crack that ran north to south 4″ wide opened but has healed. Yesterday 2 bridges heaved up and had to be re-worked but in a few hours were back in place and safe.
Rain this morning so it’s pretty slick and we could use some snow to bank up the houses.
Ice is still 18″+ and gaining and everybody has moved from the shoreline out to about 2 1/2 to 3 miles now.
I’m carrying my V-plow on a 3/4 ton truck out but stay away from rough ice and snow drifts.
Weather is great at a balmy 33 degrees and doesn’t look to be changing in the next few days.
Hope to see you all on the ice.
