Spent my evening of christmas fishing the big red pond. I tried 7 and 1/2 miles out and had the perfect christmas present, I ended up with 34 walleyes with the largest being about 23”. A one spot demon was what I caught them on, and I tipped it with a emarald shiner that I got from Agazzis Lodge. The slabs have been on the elusive side still, but they’ll show up eventually. Theres so much ice to fish out past the crack it seemed like I was the only one out there fishing. I think we need a few others out there to cover a little area and now that the bridges are going out that may change soon. The ice where I drilled was 16 inches.
