Well I just got back from another day of fishing and i have to say it was a bit slow today. I’m not sure if the fish just weren’t biting, or if it was because of the machinery out there digging the channel making all that noise but we only ended up with 2 pike and 4 walleyes. One of the pike was about 35” and the other was about 32”, with only one walleye being in the slot. We caught both of the pike on ciscoes beneath a tip up and the eyes were caught on jigging spoons tipped with a minnow. The fish were caught in 6 FoW, and the ice was at 7 inches where I was, but you can only fish about 20 yards beyond the break til you start getting on some crappy looking ice.
