Timing Vermilion

I am planning a week on Vermilion for next year. When do the smallies usually spawn on that lake and is the period 6/7 – 14 too early for them? Thanks for any info.

Hard to say what next year mother nature will be dishing out?
We hit them well about the 3rd week in June a couple years ago on very light soft plastics in the reeds on the NW end of the lake.
By the dates that you have posted, you should be pretty close to the spawn period regardless of the weather, but peak bites will fluctuate a little with the weather’s ups and downs.

Pending on the spring, this might be late. The last tourney I fished up there was on June 9 and the Fish were already in there mid-summer spots. I talked to a few different poeple that fish there quite regularly and the last week in May is normally the spawn week, but sometimes there spawning until the first week of June, normally not much later then that.
