The warm weather has finally got the big pike on the move on Upper Red Lake. The past few days the lake has given up several fish over 40 inches here on the south shore. Don’t be in too big of a hurry though, from my past experience on the big lake the Northern Pike action is just getting started and should be excellent by the end of July and peak sometime in August.
With a little luck we may even start catching a few crappie on the cribs.
