I caught a nice surprise while fishing Red Lake for the first time. A nice 20″ tullibee. Later that evening I read the record book (after I had gutted it and disposed of the head) and found out the record it 20 3/4 inches and 5 lb 11.8 oz. I should have done a better measurement with a tail pinch and tried to find a scale to weight it. I’m pretty sure it wasn’t as big as the record, but it the largest tullibee I ever caught or have seen caught.

Nice catch! That tullibee heading for a smoker, I hope?

Hard to tell without seeing the mouth but looks like it might be a whitefish

I’m thinking whitefish too. Looks like it has an underbite.
