We are heading up there tomorrow and it sounds like we are going to have a lot of slush. Apparently they got a lot of snow up there last week and it made a mess of things. The plowed roads are reported to be good, but travel off the road not advised. A friend was up there last week and reported that guys were getting stuck everywhere.
We have a house rented for the weekend and are expecting to stay put most of the time.

How did you do and where did you stay? I’ll be heading to Long Point on Thursday for the weekend. We will have sleds to roam around with and avoid getting stuck that way.

Sounds like things could turn on if the weather stays decent through the weekend!!

We stayed at birchview resort, fished Friday thru Monday.Roads are in pretty good condition when there wasn’t 4+ inches of snow and 30+ mph winds.Fished in 18 feet one evening 3:00-6:00 and the four of us caught 50+ fish average 12inches nothing big.Got out Sunday at 3:00 after they got the road opened out deep. Did pretty good, but wished we were able to get there earlier, as the couple of rentals out that far did really well.Advise if you can go out as far as possible early, if it slows down come back in to the shallower bite in the afternoon.Good luck and let me know how you do.
