Today’s fishing was great early and tapered off in the afternoon, but not before Shane “Wiggles” Burk set the hook on a monster 29-1/4” Walleye, which I got on video for all to see. We were fishing in 22 – 23 feet of water in one of the Wigwam Ice Houses. The majority of fish that were caught today were Saugers, but the Walleyes are starting to move in. It was apparent to our guests whom were also having success catching the Walleyes. The hot colors out there today were Gold and Green Glow. Bait is still essential and nothing works better than an Emerald Shiner on Lake of the Woods.
