Just got back from south of the boarder on wensday and now its off to LOW for me. What a week. Was wonder if anyone has heard of how the roads are holding up with all the warm weather we have been having. Any news from red wood be great. Looks like we might plan a afternoon of fishing there also.

The roads were fine on the lake. When you get out to quite a way there were areas of water on the lake. We used Adrians road and it was fine until you get to an area where someone was fishing and drilling holes near the road, then you would have water on the road. Main roads were fine.

I would imagine where you access the lake near Wheelers Point is going to get a little sloppy by the end of the weekend, it always does when we get weather like this.

I believe we are heading out of adrians. This is only my second trip up to LOW. The first trip about10 years ago we found very slushy roads.
Scott. do you know of a good web sight that might have a map of the area and some hotel info. We are bring up three kids this weekend and I was hoping there might be a place with a pool for them on saturday night.
    Thanks for the help.

Good hotel with great pool and the warmest water in the jacuzzi, would be AmericInn in Baudette.

The roads over the weekend where in pretty good shape. Adrians was starting to get a little wet by the end of the day on saturday. Zipple bay roads was in good shape on monday.
Fishing was a little slow for us. We set up on inactive fish on our first spot. After 2 hours we left the rest of the group there and moved on to better fishing. The rest of the group stayed behind and watched fish on the finders with nothing to show for it.
It had been 10 years since I have been to LOW and I enjoyed a nice weekend up there. Looks like I will have to try to get up there more often now.

It was a fun trip. We had 5 guys and 5 kids with. The kids had a great time keeping each other busy.

I was up at LOW last thur. through tues. of this week. Snowmobiles are recomended for off-road driving. We fished sixteen mile, knight island and shoals, and 12 miles out from morris point. The day bite was slow, but the morning and evening bite shallow was good to excellent. We had the best luck in the long point area in 17ft. The bite in the morning was about 6:30 till 8:30 then eve. started about 3:30 and lasted till 7:30 depending on lite conditions. Hope this helps I will be returning in two weeks for my fourth trip since x-mas. Hope to make it once more after that.
