Any one been on the water?

I may fish LOW this weekend. Just wondering if anyone has any recent reports from the South side?

going up to low this weekend myself going out of zipple bay. never been up to low befor. any one have any recomendations? we are renting a sleeper and are bringing our portables to staw mobile if needed. any tips would be greatley appreciated

It took me a couple of days to get a handle on things up there. It sounds like they are still getting fairly decent numbers in Zippel Bay. Pretty far out 11-12 miles. They are depending on the main road going out of wheelers point and you need to either fish near the road or bring a snowmobile if you want to get off by yourself.
Size hasn’t been that great out there except for when those Perch move through, it’s a numbers bite.

Tim told me that they are getting some better size fish in the shallows toward evening, but exact location is a mystery to me right now. Usually that big fish bite starts back up in early March and lasts for as long as you can travel on the lake. If you need to get a rental house, the guy at Twin Rivers seems to stay with those fish pretty well.
