Had another great year of catching HOGS on the river . 8th year in a row for me. My partner(Craig) and I were fortunate to be able to fish for 6 days straight days this year. The rest of our group had to be back on Sunday. Had a great time with them as usual .

We piched blades and ringworms with great success as usual for the first 4 days. The next 2 days we dragged 5″K grubs with half ounce jigs against the current just keeping them 6″ off the bottom going .75 to 1.2 miles per hour. This was the ticket. We had 50 fish each day. 40 of the fish were 27″ to 31″ fish. All HOGS. They would just CRUSH the K-grub. Totally. The most awesome fishing feeling in the world.
Enjoy the pics. We thank the fish Gods again!

Great Job! Wish I could get back this year but I’ll have to wait until next year.

    Wow, great job guys!
That’s some awesome walleye fishing right there boys.
I’m definitely impressed with the numbers & size of the walleyes coming from the Rainy river each spring.

This was my first year on the Rainy and I couldn’t get over how fat the walleyes were. We did well on ring worm, paddle tails and pink/white jigs. Based on the crowds, I can’t imagine what a weekend would be like.

Nice fish Jason. I think if you edit your post you may be able to rotate the picture. Is that your boat you are in? We are heading up there tomorrow afternoon to chase sturgeon. Looks like I should of been there for walleyes.
