    Looks like the Rainy might make it to Birchdale by weeks end… anyone else getting a little amped up for the annual eyeball run? I’m gonna try to make it up the last weekend in March….

    I have been looking daily at clementson resort to check Gail’s updates as the river opens up….I will be up whenever you can put a bunk trailer in at birchdale…

    RED EYEING IT FRIDAY NIGHT WITH BOAT, AUGER, AND CHAINSAW IF NEEDED, MY BUNK TRAILER WILL BE SOAKING AT B-DALE SAT AM! HOPEFULLY! CANT BELIEVE NOBODY HAS BEEN SKIDDING BOATS YET?

    Looks like our plans are changing as the weather gets warmer and ice turns bad. Might be hauling the boat not the fish house. Heading up 18th to the 21st.

    We’ll be up April first. My first trip up there. With the way things are melting I hope we are not too late with water clarity.

    I’m like a dog running to the end of his leash waiting to get my Sturgeon rig on the water! I love this time of the year.

    Can someone give me suggestions on when and where to hit the Rainy? I have a place in Cook, MN and thought I could stay there and run up for the day with the new boat. I’ve never been up there and am clueless!

    Are ya looking for Walleye are Sturgeon? I just got done with my first two days on the river and will be posting a full report once we get all the photos processed.

    Looks like we’ll be able to go out and get the fish in the lake if they don’t wanna come into the river….

    A group of 6 of us were up last weekend to fish the river. No fish caught Friday so we fished the lake saturday. Did fairly well, only 4 short of our limit.

    Do not drive trucks out! 3 went in this weekend!
