LOW – Bar on the Ice

Has anyone been to this thing yet? Sort of a neat idea, I guess it’s out of Zipple.

I haven’t, but my 10 year old will be up in the area this weekend. Maybe thats why he asked for extra spending money.

Okay. Tell us more about that. Is that a bar they pull out on the ice?

From what I’ve gathered, it’s about 600 total square feet. There’s a small “bar” area and a bunch of booth type seating. You can stop in for a beer and watch the game on a big flat screen, and fish while doing this. They have holes that are rented by the hour. You can buy beer and booze, if you want food, they shuttle it out from the resort.

I’m heading up there tomorrow, I’ll try to get some pics.

I was in it last weekend. It is very cool. You can get a pizza and a drink while jigging. It worth the stop just to take a few pics and tell you buddies.

My brother, Chad and I are at Zippel tonight and will be fishing tomorrow with hopes of lots of eyes and a beer or three at the “Bar on Ice”

We stopped after fishing and it is great! Just as described above, pretty cool deal for the ice. Oh and the prices were great!
