Well this is a couple of days late but the night I got home I got a touch of the flu. On 12-12 I meet some friends from Sioux Falls, SD in Baudutte for a bit to eat and some game planing. From their it was off to Adrains to pick up some shinners and then to the Wigwam to check in.

After checking in it was unpacking the 4-wheelers and Clams. Off to the main lake we went. There was a marked road out of the Adrians access and off we went over the island and out onto the main lake. There were eight of us fishing and after setting up and getting in the water a nice 28 1/4″ came up out of the hole. I was still trying to figure out my new Marcum at this time and was second guessing myself for buying it but after a few more moments it was game on. Day one ended with everyone limiting out of nice eater saugers and 16-18″ eyes with five throw backs in the slot. Those fish were cleaned and eaten at the Wigwam.

Day two we were greated with -25 below temp with -35 below windshields. It was a cold ride out but after getting set up it was game on. Our best fishing was in 21-22′ of water during the day and moving into 16-17′ in the evening. Day two was pretty much the same fishing wise with several times through out the day where you could only use one line. After getting off the ice it was to the Wigwam again for some fish and .

Day three 45 minutes in a nice 30″ walley hit the gold buckshot with a minnow head. After a few quick photos it was released to swim another day. A replica will be made.

All in all it was a great time up north with good fiends and great fishing. I am not exagerating when I say that each day we averaged 70-100 per two guys.

The day we left I would say that there was a good solid 12″ on the main lake. I wish I could get up there one more time this year but with a little one on the way it will be closer to home.
