Rumor from what I heard. It may have been slow for some, but numbers of people that were up did very good over Pine this weekend.
The best bite was just out and to the right of the island. Two large groups were another mile or so out from were the good reports came from. They were fishing in 23 feet, stayed there all day with great action. Had 23″, 25″ and topped the day with a 29 1/2″ fatty. It sounds like it may have been slower then the last few weekends, but the number of people fishing this weekend was very high so some slow reports are bound to show up.
The Morris point area continued to produce nice numbers over the weekend as well. More walleyes then saugers, so the early and late bite were the action filled parts of the day.
We will be making the trip this weekend…We will be fishing over Pine..can’t wait
