Fished out of Arnesen’s Saturday through Wednesday this week. Fishing wasn’t fantastic but steady probably due in part to the miserably cold temps. Air temps were 45 and Water temps were low 50’s. Most of the nicer fish were caught anchored on reefs with jig and minnow however fish were scattered and we had to re-anchor every so often to keep getting bit…Fatheads or shiners there was no discernable difference.
We also caught fish pulling spinners with crawlers on sand closer to shore but the fish averaged much smaller 14″-15″. We didn’t fish in the evening or night due to the demographics of our fishing party.
Our biggest fish was a 28 shown in the picture and caught by one of my boat mates – John Jensen. Overall very few fish were caught over 20 inches but many in the 17-19 range.
