Headed to Rainy on Tuesday to fish the river but still brought the wheeler and fish houses, man did it pay off.
Heard that the water levels are dropping and that the clarity is up to 2 ft now but the bite is still slow to nothing. Headed to Garden Island instead and it was awsome!
75 fish for 3 guys in about 5 hours both days. Dead stick or jigging it didnt mater when they came in the crushed it!
Ice was thick, no extension though. We fished 27 ft at the base of the shoal in the gravel and got Tulibees, pout, perch,
eyes and sauger. Biggest eye was 22.

Now that’s what I call a Plan B! Thanks for the report? How was it getting around out on the ice?

We had 3 guys , 2 fish houses, and 1 wheeler!
Travel was un comfortable but we got it done and went back for round 2. I would advise bring sleds rather than wheelers guys trying to pull trailors are struggling after the 4 to 6 iches of fresh snow.
