    Hey guys

Fished LOTW Friday afternoon thru Sunday.

We went out of Long Point on Friday afternoon out to the hump about 3 miles out.  Lots of fish on the vexilar, but not a lot of takers.  We did manage to keep 2 walleyes and 2 saugers.  The ice was the BIG story, ended up putting on 2-12 inch extensions to get through!!

Saturday found us fishing the “Bridges Area” easily 100+ fish caught, but all were very small.  Although we did have the occasional JUMBO perch.  I think we kept about a dozen.

Sunday, we were on Garden Island.  What a differnce a few miles makes!!  We found an area with active fish, and pretty much hung around that area for the day.  I know that this was another 100+ fish day, but the size of the walleyes was way up.    Didn’t get to many pics.  I belive the biggest went 22 1/2 inches.  The weather was beautiful and the fish were biting.  What more can you ask for??

Our mode of transportation was snowmobiles, but with the weather the way it has been, I wouldn’t think wheelers would be to far off??

Snowmobile is the way to go on that lake in my opinion.

You spend a few days cruising around and hitting a few spots your going to get into some good fishing.

I’m wondering if the reef 3 miles from Long Point is Lemms Reef?

It used to be a great spot. We would make the short trip out on sleds or ATVs and catch a ton of fish.

Not many people knew about it because it wasn’t on a map…until Lakemaster came along.

Oh well, take the good with the bad.

There is a commercial net hung up in the rocks on Lemms. I swear we’ve donated hundreds of dollars in jigs to it over the last 12 years.
