Going up there next weekend (March 20-24). Plan to fish the primary breakline from Zipple Bay to Pine Island for the eyes. Can a guy get around off the ice roads with a four wheel drive truck or do I need to break my four wheeler? Any information here would be greatly appreciated. Also, any fishing tips would not be shunned. Thanks.

not first hand knowledge as I have not been out since the storm but it sounds like most of the snow blew off the lake and driving conditions are good. Fishing off the reefs and away from the crowds have been real good the last month and thats where I will be saturday. i can update you next week.

As of sunday the driving conditions on the lake were still pretty good. there are still some banks to get over when accessing any of the plowed roads but once over those you are good. the fishing has slowed down, both out of warroad and rocky point. i imagine the fish are starting to move towards the baudette area of the lake. i haven’t been out there so mabey somebody else can give you reports on that side of the lake.
