LOW Weekend Report…

    Fished all day Saturday and till 1pm on Sunday. Fished out of “Bablers Road” which goes out near Arnesens. We fished 16 mile reef. Started in 22′ and only caught “dinks”. Our buddies were in 24′ only 50 yards away and caught 12 keepers for the morning (mostly eyes’…). We then moved to 30′ for the afternoon thinking the sauger’s would be going. No such luck…
    Sunday we fished in the 24′ area that our buddies did well in the day before and caught our limit but not a ton of size there. Looking forward to heading back up in late March when the fishing (and size…) seems to always be better!
    (All of 36″ of ice and Bablers road is nice and smooth. $7 and he does a nice job…) RR

    RR,
    It sounds like you guys were out on your own then?
    Were you running snow machines with portables?
    Man, when I was there 1-1/2 weeks ago, the bombers were your only choice for transportation.
    Good to hear that you got some eaters
    where are the photos?
    All “bucket fish”?

    Smaller than bucket fish! Averaged 14″ on the eyes and 12″ on the sauger…
    We fished out of Sturg’s truck. Off road is not recommended but when we did go off road we moved around suprisingly okay. We fished outa’ portables. No photos…(I didn’t want evidence of what we kept! )
