I haven’t been there since August , but we’re heading up Thursday. I’ve heard very good reports so I’m excited to get in on the action. My buddy caught his personal best 30″ and caught another 30-40 fish yesterday. Is anybody else headed up there this weekend? We’ll be at my Uncle’s cabin on Rocky Point.

They’ll be holding their rods with the spinning reels sitting on top the rods.

Things were slow for us. We got a late start Friday morning after digging out and getting all the gear packed. Our group of 4 caught a mixed bag of walleyes, sauger, perch, eelpout, and tulibees. ON Saturday we went out in the blizzard for a full day of fishing, but things were quiet until 3pm. For an hour it was consistent action. Almost all of our walleyes were caught 10-15 feet under the ice over 28 feet of water, so keep an eye on the flasher. Jig color didn’t really matter because we caught 90% of the fish that came in on the flashers. Red, orange, and pink buckshot rattle spoons. I think we ended up with 12 walleyes, 10 sauger, 12 eelpout, 3 perch, and a couple tulibee.

I’m leaving wednesday morning for LOW Northwest Angle. I’m curious if anybody has been up there this year or not. I missed out last year (first time in 5 years) because being 22 and cancun sounded much better which it was . I’m just wondering what the bite is on the northside of the lake?
