Fishing was tough, we had 7 guys in our group and the biggest and only walleye was maybe 15″, we caught mostly sauger, average size was 14″. Most of the fish came from out past the gap in 24 to 28 feet of water. More than one bait shop told me that the shiners had been in the river for over a month and that the walleyes had gorged themselves on the shiners. This was my 6th year up there in the fall and without a dought was the worst fishing I have seen, but the friends and the scenery were the best, I can not wait to go back and do it again next year.
Sorry things didn’t go better, Steve. Done the long trip too many times and know what it’s like to strike out. Still better than sitting in a chair with You Know Who checking and asking, Is It Soup Yet? email me if you’d like. We need to hook up again. Somewhere closer to the water than an I35 fuel stop, eh?

Hi Cliff how ya been? I will be deer hunting the week of Nov 8th to the 14th, if I get a deer early I will be spending some time on pool 4 & doing some pheasant hunting, let me know if you want to hook up

Sorry for the hitch in my giddy-up gettin back at ya.
We’ve been REAL busy at the Zoo!!! I’m boatless now(actually motorless, boats really never wear out) so life REALLY sux. If you’re offer is for fishing, I’d be more than happy to pay to gas up your tank with the fine fossil fuel that’s available in these parts now. Call me or email me if you think you can put up with me. 
I could use some toothy mouth tips, too!!
