The Rainy River can be a ton of fun and the chance to catch the fish of a lifetime is very good. But thats no reason to put other people in danger on the way there.
I don’t know if anyone noticed, but there are way too many people in too much of a hurry to get to Birchdale landing in the morning.
On the way there from International Falls on hwy 11 on Sat. morning, my 
was being ridden very closely. I will only do 60 at most on that road, which is still speeding. He went out to pass and found out why I don’t drive that fast. He smacked a deer as he was next to me. The very reason I take it easy on that road. He pulled over and for a moment I thought of stopping, but I thought I’d give hime a taste of what its like to be in a hurry.
I also heard from a cousin that on the way to Birchdale last year he was passed and the other guy almost hit a school bus.
Lets make sure everyone gets there in one piece…
