This trip took place back in late August, so there isn’t much point in posting a fishing report- However, I thought I would share a few photos. We stayed at a private cabin on an Island. I believe it was near the sioux narrows area. Fishing was excellent, many 100 fish days for two guys. Best presentation was a 5-6′ snell, red gammy hook, and a lively leach. Fish were concentrated on rock humps anywhere from 25-40 fow. This type of fishing reminded me a little of ice fishing mille lacs. The fish that were suspended in the water column were the most active fish. Using the sonar, we could eliminate “less active fish” by only concentrating on areas that had suspended fish. Biggest fish was around 25″, but we had a ton of fish in the 21-23″ range. Also caught some nice pike and smallmouth.

Anyways here are some photos from the trip.

Jay- I have been getting out quite a bit. But my best stands are still surrounded by standing corn. And the temps are in the high 80’s so, I am not hunting hard yet. There are a few bucks I have my eye on…

Did you apply for an out of state bow tag, so you can come down and shoot a real buck?
